Assmann at the world's leading trade fair for lighting and building technology

On March 3, 2024, Light + Building in Frankfurt, the international industry meeting place for manufacturers from the fields of lighting, electrical engineering, home and building automation and networked security technology, will once again open its doors to interested trade fair participants from all over the world.

As a global solution provider for high-quality server, network and peripheral infrastructure products, Assmann Electronic and its own Digitus brand are of course a must at this trade fair. The Lüdenscheid-based company will be exhibiting solutions for structured building cabling, FTTH (Fiber to the Home), flexible network and server cabinets and manageable industrial switches in Hall 11.0, Stand B06. High-speed fiber optic networks for every home

The requirements for extending the fiber optic network into the home or office are constantly growing. The increased demand for working from home and the use of streaming services are current examples of the rapid increase in data traffic in the private environment. In order to meet these conditions, products are needed that enable simple and efficient installation of fiber optic networks. At Light + Building 2024, Assmann will be presenting its new fiber optic solutions, the perfect equipment for easily expanding and completing the network in the home or office. The new range includes fiber optic cables in various lengths, house distribution units, subscriber distributors, splice closures and the pre-assembled FTTH installation kit, thus completing the Lüdenscheid-based provider's existing fiber optic portfolio.

The network solutions in 19-inch format

The network cabinets in the Unique series have been developed for particularly convenient and flexible network cabling. Brush-equipped inlets in the roof and base, a slide-on inlet in the base chassis with a foam rubber seal and rear brush strips above and below the rear door enable versatile use in a wide range of application scenarios. An offset, removable lid with ventilation slots ensures improved air circulation. Furthermore, the cabinets can be completely dismantled if required thanks to the demountable design.

The optimized Varioflex-N series was specially designed and produced for the structured cabling of network components. Sophisticated optimizations offer market-compliant stability with maximum flexibility. The network cabinets are 800 mm wide and available in two different depths (800 or 1,000 mm). The front door - consisting of a complete metal frame with 4 mm thick tempered glass - is equipped with a swivel handle including a profile half-cylinder lock, just like the double-leaf steel rear door. Both side panels are lockable and removable.

For use in data centers and structured building cabling

The CAT 7 installation cables from the Digitus own brand are designed in accordance with ISO/IEC 11801, DIN EN 50288-4-1, DIN EN 50173, IEC 61156-7, EN 50288-9-1. The cables are ideal for the transmission of analog and digital data and support PoE and PoE+. The shield structure consists of individually shielded pairs with a tinned copper braid, which guarantee excellent shielding and electrical values. Assmann will also be presenting the matching shielded CAT 6A Keystone module set at the trade fair. The set impresses with future-oriented standards, high-end quality and tool-free installation via LSA strips. Thanks to its compact design, the module also fits into design-compatible modular junction boxes.

New manageable switches for optimized structuring of data streams in industrial networks

Assmann will also be presenting new, high-performance industrial switches at the trade fair, which have been specially developed to meet the requirements of demanding network environments. Whether for use in the manufacturing industry, in industrial IoT or in critical infrastructures: the manageable Layer 3 switches are the perfect solution for stable and efficient network connectivity. The two industrial switches DN-651160 and DN-651161 are Layer 3 managed uplink switches with 8 RJ45 ports and 4 SFP+ ports each. With an impressive data transfer rate of up to 10 gigabits per second, the SFP+ ports enable lightning-fast and reliable communication between the various end devices.
